In Memory of Shania

Chase Away K9 Cancer was founded by Cera Reusser in memory of her wonderful companion "Chase". Cera is passionate about this project and for everyone who has lost a canine companion to cancer, we are all forever grateful.

This blog was created in memory of "Shania"- Shania was a beautiful, athletic, intelligent German Shorthaired Pointer. She competed in agility and obedience and was ranked in the Top 10 in her breed. Shania represented her breed at the AKC Agility Invitational in California in December. In January 2010, she became ill. She was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma. 4 days short of her 9th birthday, Shania lost her battle to the cancer....

Special Thanks to Cera and superseamstress Vivian (and friends) who helped us organize a fundraiser for upcoming agility trial. On March 4-7 2010, donations will be collected in memory of Shania with 100% proceeds going to K9 Cancer research. Vivian and her team have been working nonstop for weeks creating their wonderful bandanas to distribute to agility exhibitors, MANY of which have had their lives affected by K9 Cancer.

I am HONORED to help with this fundraiser. PLEASE join us to help Chase Away K9 Cancer!!!
